XXYYXX is the name of Orlando, FL’s upcoming 16 year old beat producer, Marcel Everett. He’s been compared to James Blake, J Dilla, and Star Slinger. Marcel works out of his own bedroom studio and creates beats as his main focus. His music has been featured on XL8R, Earmilk, and Indie Shuffle. Now he is creating harmonious music that provokes emotion and transmits vivid images of peace and still sadness. His debut full-length album and the rest of his releases are available through digital download on Relief in Abstract Records.

Later this month, SBTRKT’s new single “Hold On” will drop digitally, and today he played a remix of that track on KEXP. Thanks to some on-air clues, Pitchfork hypothesizes that SiSi BakBak is an alias for a certain post-rocking, spastic dancing frontman.

Lapalux, the Essex producer with recent releases on Brainfeeder and Pictures, has turned in a soothing, house-inflected remix for Lianne La Havas, a rising British singer with a comforting voice described accurately by Kim Taylor Bennett as a “honeyed tone between Feist and Lauryn Hill.” His take on “Lost and Found” warmly embraces the song like the electrified fibers of a futuristic cable-knit, a great synthetic partner to spare original. Later this month, La Havas will release the “Lost and Found” single, her debut since signing to Warner, with an album, Is Your Love Big Enough, scheduled for release this July.
